Stopping smoking
Smoking - what does it do for you?
Smoking is the greatest cause of illness and premature death in the UK. Each cigarette you smoke takes 11 minutes off your life. Are you prepared to reduce your life expectancy by around 20 years?
Cigarettes contain around 3,000 different chemicals including formaldehyde, arsenic, cyanide and carbon monoxide. At least 30 of these chemicals give you cancer.

By the time you are 60 years old you will be suffering from some form of degenerative disease due to smoking, even if you are not aware of it, such as heart disease, cancer, strokes, high blood pressure, emphysema, impotence, impaired fertility, depression and age-related macular degeneration leading to visual impairment.
Smokers are 80% more likely to suffer from anxiety than non-smokers.
Smoking empties your wallet. If you smoke 20 a day, you spend around £1,000 a year on your habit. Think what a great holiday you could have with that.
Do you really want to feel like an outcast, with the smoking ban being enforced across the British Isles? How enjoyable or sociable is a cigarette outside in the cold and wet?

Hypnotherapy - what can it do for you ?
A study conducted by Frank Schmidt at the University of Iowa, of 6,000 smokers, showed that hypnosis was three times more effective than nicotine replacement therapy. The results were published in The Journal of Psychology.
Smoking is not just about nicotine addiction, it is also a psychological dependency, in other words a habit. This explains why nicotine patches and gum often do not work.
If we can’t stop by will power alone it indicates that smoking is a subconscious response. Hypnosis is valuable because it gains access to the subconscious, informs it of the dangers of smoking and reprogrammes the mind in a positive way.
Hypnosis is a natural state similiar to day dreaming and the client is in control at all times. There are no negative side effects.
If you want to stop smoking, hypnosis can make it easier for you and helps to alleviate cravings.
One session of one and a half to two hours is all that is required. The cost for this will be £80.
