We all now how easy it is to put on those extra inches over the years and how difficult it is to get rid of them. Diets very often don’t work, or not in the long term anyway, because they focus on what you are eating and on denying yourself certain foods. This leads to cravings, preoccupation with food and “yo-yoing” weight.
We over-eat for many reasons including comfort eating, through habit and because many of us were taught as children to eat everything that was on our plate! These are all subconscious responses and hypnosis, which gains access to the subconscious, is therefore ideally suited for weight management.
Eating is often a conditioned response. For example, if we sit down to have a cup of tea, it feels like something is missing if we don’t have a biscuit with it. Hypnotherapy makes suggestions to the subconscious, changing our attitudes to food and the conditioned responses.
The aim of hypnotherapy is that you will enjoy what you eat without overeating and without undue cravings.
Hypnosis is a natural, relaxing state which is similar to day dreaming and the client is always in control throughout. There are no negative side effects.
