I am a fully qualified hypnotherapist and have over ten years' experience, working with adults, children and teenagers.


What is Hypnotherapy?

Hypnosis is a natural state we often go into anyway during the day, such as when we are engrossed in a television programme, reading a good book or when we are doing repetitive tasks.  You are always in control and it produces a pleasent feeling of relaxation and calm. 


How does hypnotherapy work?

Hypnotherapy has the great advantage of being able to bypass the conscious mind, allowing access to the subconscious. The subconscious mind stores past experiences and emotions, sometimes causing us problems in the present. Suggestions made to the subconscious during therapy can override negative information which is stored there, leading to changes in our thought patterns and behaviour.

Anxiety plays a large part in most psychological problems and hypnotherapy is ideally suited to reducing anxiety.  Working together, we will enable you to regain control of your life so that you can do what you want to do.


How will I feel?

Contrary to the impression given by stage hypnotists you will be in control at all times. You will only accept suggestions that are for your benefit and in accordance with your own values. Hypnosis is very calming and I am often told by my clients that they have never felt so relaxed.


Can anyone be hypnotised?


Yes – although some people are more responsive than others to hypnosis.


Children in particular respond very well to hypnosis as long as they agree to have the sessions and appreciate that they need a bit of help.  I have also taken further training to work with children and teenagers.


What hypnotherapy can do for you

Hypnotherapy is a safe procedure, with no adverse side effects, which will improve your quality of life.

What’s involved

An initial consultation is offered to every client, where the needs of each individual are assessed and the appropriate method of therapy agreed upon. You will also be advised on the approximate number of sessions required, depending on the presenting problem. There is no obligation for further therapy if you feel it is not for you.

If you decide to continue with therapy you will be given a free relaxation CD.

A minimum of 24 hours notice must be given of cancellation or the full session fee may be payable.


How much will it cost?

The initial consultation, lasting between 30 minutes and one hour, will cost £35.

Each subsequent 50 minute session of hypnotherapy will cost £60.

For anti-smoking therapy, only one session is required. This will last up to 1 ½ hours and will cost £130.
